  • What is SSL encryption and how it keeps websites safe

    Comments
ssl protection encryptionSecurity is one of the most important aspects that the PT (Paid To) websites should care more if their intention is to operate for a long time.

It is not easy to trust all PT websites that are born every day, but lately we have seen the birth of several that come with the SSL security certificate demonstrating the ambition the administrator has for the project, and ensuring more security for those that sign-up.

How do PTC and PTR websites do to make money?

    Comments
money dollarThis is one of the first questions of someone when starts to work with PTC (Paid To Click) or PTR (Paid To Read) websites.

It's not easy to believe that we can really make money on the internet just for click on ads, and I am used to receive emails from people who want to understand how is possible to exist this type of websites that pay us to do this simple task.

The truth is that a PTC or PTR website well planned and structured can be very profitable for its administrator, working as a business that generates profits while its members (employees) are paid.

I will show some examples of how some popular sites are profitable.

METHODS TO MAKE A PTR OR PTC SITE PROFITABLE:

Selling packs of visualization of ads - This is the main method of any PT website, if the members earn money for clicking an ad is because some advertiser invested on buying visualizations for its product.
The sustainability of a site depends on the price of this ad visualizations which have to count with the number of members that will click that ad and earn money, the amount of referrals of that member that will also earn and give a percentage for him, and the profit of the site itself.

Selling or renting referrals - This option began with the birth of PTC.
The selling price of these referrals must be well planned as the sale of views, and must follow the percentage that the member who bought will start to win daily with the activity of its new referrals.

Selling of account upgrade packs - This is another option that should be well studied because it allows members to increase the proportion of their income (own or referral clicks) in exchange for a price.
That price has to take into account the period of time of the new type of account, which can range from one month to one year, how much the member will go to win with each click, as well as how much will gain from the percentage of referrals, and which the profit that the site may have with this purchase.

Games of "bad luck or fortune" - Begins to be almost required for a PT site to have a game area where members can invest their own money or the money gained on the site to try their luck or bad luck ....
This type of games have very attractive awards to the winners , as packs of referrals or upgrades to their own account, but only some can win each time, and the money of losers becomes an advantage in the profitability of the site.

Selling of visible space on the site for banner ads - It is known that the Adsense Terms, the most profitable advertising on the Internet, bans its use on sites PT, but there are alternatives such as Bidvertiver.
Even so the method used and most profitable ends up being the sale of banner impressions or provision of advertising banners for periods as a week or a month, placed at visible points from the site.

As you just realized the money we earn on these sites "does not fall from the sky."
If they are managed by a competent administrator the PTC or PTR sites end up becoming a source of sufficient income to live.

I received my first payout 2 years ago

    Comments
Today I reminded of trying to know the date of the first payment I received from a PT (Paid To) site.

I went to PayPal and searched on my account activity list in 2006 (when it started to click in this type of sites) and was then that I found that I received my first payout on September 11th, 2006, from an PTR called Team1Players that used to send 12 to 15 daily paid emails, almost all of 1.25 cents, and paid once a month to all members that had accumulated ate least $0.01 and INSTANTANEOUSLY!

isabelmarcos's 125x125 bannerI remember that at the time was a pair of AGroupEffort (from the same admin) the best PTR, and almost without referrals I could easily earn more than $20 per month!

Unfortunately the sites had to be closed because it used and violated the rules of Parked Domains, but if you are curious to know how such sites operated sign-up on PTRcommunity that works with the same system.

You can see a print from my first payout by clicking on the thumbnail on the right of this post.

By the way I would like to know the date of your first payout, was it before mine?

Types of members of the PTC sites

    Comments
One of these days I was reading my latest entries in my favourite FEED reader, Google Reader, when I found an interesting post in Eurito.net belonging to the Jotix (admin of Zubux), where he tries to define the type of members who are in the PTC business.

Giving due credit to the author, found it interesting to share the text with my readers, and launch the challenge in that I ask you to discover what type of member I identify (answer in comments).

Beggar: The poorest members of PTC. Tired of clicking in many PTC. Usually he have a huge list of sites in favourites, frequents many forums and spend the days clicking on all of its PTC list, looking forward to win some. Can sign up by other members who promise to pay x at x clicks. Doesn't pay attention to ads content and have many tabs opened with the countdown running. Investing is out of question. Doesn't earn much because takes a long time to reach payout and get scammed by some sites.

Opportunist: Creates currents on certain PTCs using some kind of incentive for other members to register. As their followers know he pays, can obtain a significant number of referrals in this way. Usually does not invest in PTC. Can easily reach the payout which is due to incentives and members he get. Can earn $50 or more per month. Can click punctually in PTC. Does not see the PTC as something to invest, but as something to receive.

Adventurer: The sponsor of PTC. Not as common as the other two members, but the adventurer is one that advertises a PTC site in other PTC sites or even on is website or blog. Normally can start as beggar or opportunistic, but when realizes that some PTC pays decides to invest in an indirect way publicizing this particular PTC and gaining referrals. Can choose to buy an upgrade or referred.

Investor:  The member that makes PTC work.It because of this member that PTCs get money to pay the other 3 members, otherwise it would probably be impossible. He risk is money to be able to profit from it. Typically tends to invest in PTC with more fame, and those who give higher returns. Tries to diversify is investment and is not limited to only 1 or 2 PTC. Recognizes that investing in PTC involves risk of losing everything. It is cautious and tries to read blogs, Websites and be updated by reading forums of the sites or others specialized in PTC's.

Do you already recognized the type of member I am? And you, what is your type?
